2014年6月から、ISはイラク北部モスルを最大拠点としてきた。

去年の12月。

私はモスルまで40km程の地点に立った。

僅か半年前である。

ちょうどモスル奪還作戦が開始された時である。

随分と昔のような気がする。

 

近くのフィリピン。

遠い国では無い。

飛行機で3時間ほどの距離である。

そのミンダナオ島で、ISが猛威を振るっている。

街が占拠されている。

 

ドゥテルテ大統領はどのように統治するのか？

民間人に被害が出ないことを願うのみである。
