ちょうど神保町に用があった。

２丁目にある　とんかつ　いもや　を久しぶりに訪れた。

相変わらず長蛇の列。

そして、カウンターには黙々と食べる人々。

御櫃に入ったご飯。

目の前で揚げてくれる大きめの肉。

若い時には随分通った。

獰猛な食欲を安く満たしてくれる貴重な店である。

うまいとかまずいとかそんなものではないのである。

思い出の味はそれらを超越しているのだ。
